Dark |
When nocturnal pot- and caffeine-addicted student Michael complains the he never sees daylight, his friend Helen takes him to Sunrise National Park. Insisting that his claims of a world where the sun actually moves are delusions from spending too long in the seedy city of Night, she drags him off to peaceful, suburban Afternoon for a rest cure. But is Afternoon really so idyllic? What has her hippy housemate, Sunflower, been doing while Helen's been away? Dark is a four-part series that follows Michael and Helen on a journey through Day to find their way back to our world. It features beautiful, moody artwork by award-winning artist Karen, drawn in a different style for each time of day. Part Three contains an attempt on the record for the most number of panels per page, and is being launched at the Web & Mini Comix Thing. Karen and Anna Rubins are symbiotic sisters who make comics together as a break from duelling over who should be head of their clan. Karen likes Manga, playing the guitar and pretending to be a man on the internet. Anna likes magic, singing and pretending to be a man in real life. More
