One of the main attractions for the event were the Best Comix Awards. This event was judged by Gary Northfield. The prizes included £100, £50 and £25, as well as a prestigeous trophy. The entrants were:

There were also 3 prizes given out for the count the pages competition which all included a free subscription to the Modern Tales site. Aalso a copy of Blankets was presented to the first prize winner, a copy of Gulf War to the second prize winner and a complete set of Galumph to the third prize winner.

The number of pages in the pile of comix was 620. The winning guesses were 649, 777 and 300.
